Update: The former Taha’a Twisted Tiki property at 4199 Manchester Avenue is now home to Baia, an Italian restaurant opened by Good Hospitality Group on August 20, 2026. The opening completes the redevelopment that began after the hospitality group acquired the property in 2025.
The Former Taha’a Site Became Baia
Good Hospitality Group acquired the former tiki-bar property after Taha’a Twisted Tiki closed in 2024. At the time of the acquisition, the company had not announced what would replace it. That question has now been answered: Baia occupies the renovated space in The Grove.

What Baia Brings to The Grove
Baia’s menu centers on seafood and handmade pasta with inspiration from the Italian Riviera. Executive chef Jon Priestley leads the kitchen. The restaurant’s August 2026 opening and concept were reported by St. Louis Magazine.
The restaurant gives the former Taha’a property a new identity while keeping the address active within The Grove’s dining and nightlife district. For residents and visitors, the change is another example of how commercial spaces along Manchester Avenue continue to evolve as operators introduce new concepts.
