Paddle Up Pickleball Chesterfield has officially joined the lineup at The District in Chesterfield Valley, offering a high-quality indoor pickleball facility for players of all levels.
This is the second location for Paddle Up, following its original nine-court club in Lake St. Louis. A third facility is already planned for Quincy, Illinois, and is expected to open by the end of the year.
“We’re excited to take what we’ve built in Lake St. Louis and bring it to Chesterfield,” said co-owner Matt Lanholt. “We were the first pickleball-only indoor club in St. Charles County, and we’re ready to bring that same energy here.”
State-of-the-Art Indoor Pickleball Facility
Spanning 23,000 square feet, the Chesterfield club features six indoor courts designed for year-round play. Members and guests can rent high-quality gear through the club’s equipment program or shop at the on-site pro shop. Flexible membership options include both monthly and annual plans, while casual players can opt for a day pass.
Programs are available for every skill level:
Beginner and novice clinics introduce the fundamentals of pickleball.
Intermediate, finesse, and advanced training focuses on strategy and technique for experienced players.
Court reservations can be made online, and players can join regularly scheduled open-play sessions for more social games.
Expanding The District’s Sports & Entertainment Scene
Paddle Up adds another dimension to The District’s growing list of attractions, which already includes an arcade, martial arts training, and an ever-changing mix of local dining and drink options.
“We met with several pickleball operators,” said Michael Staenberg, owner and developer of The District. “Matt and co-owner Jon Richert stood out because of their energy, insight, and understanding of the market. We’re excited to have them join our sports and entertainment offerings.”
2025 Summer Smash Tournament
The Chesterfield club is set to host its first major event — the 2025 Summer Smash — from August 22–24. The tournament is open to both members and non-members, with singles, doubles, and triples brackets available.
