*Comet Coffee second location*

Comet Coffee Southwest Garden is officially in the works, with owners Matt and Tim Garvey preparing to open their second café at 4472 Shaw Avenue. Known for their original shop near Forest Park, the Garveys are targeting a September 2025 opening for the new location.

The new café will feature in-house coffee roasting and occupy the 5,000-square-foot first floor for its café, kitchen, and roasting operations. The second floor may later be leased for residential or commercial use.

The Garveys purchased the building in December 2024 for $600,000. The estimated cost of the buildout is approximately $250,000. Both the building purchase and renovation are being financed through Carrollton Bank.
