The CIBC Place building sale in St. Louis County, Missouri, was finalized in early April, with the 10-story office tower at 1401 S. Brentwood Blvd. sold to personal injury attorney Jim Onder, founder of OnderLaw. The transaction totaled $34.3 million.

The seller, Altus Properties, had previously acquired the 170,157-square-foot property in 2016. At the time of this most recent sale, the building was approximately 95% occupied.

Financial Highlights

According to data from the analytics platform Reonomy, the sale price breaks down to:

  • $117 per square foot
  • $18.17 million per acre

Midwest Regional Bank provided a $25.69 million loan to support the transaction.

OnderLaw Expands Presence

Jim Onder’s personal injury law firm will retain its existing headquarters in Webster Groves while also maintaining a presence at CIBC Place. The purchase marks a significant expansion of OnderLaw’s presence in the region’s legal and commercial landscape.
