Blueberry Hill Duck Room in St. Louis, Missouri, has officially reopened after undergoing a summer renovation. Known for its intimate setting and iconic connection to music legend Chuck Berry, the beloved venue temporarily paused events to upgrade its space.
Located beneath Blueberry Hill restaurant in the Delmar Loop, the Duck Room is famed for hosting live performances and preserving the legacy of Berry, whose signature “Duck Walk” gave the venue its name.
Christine Edwards, daughter of Blueberry Hill owner Joe Edwards, confirmed that the renovations included enhanced sound equipment, a new lighting system, and freshly painted dark blue walls. “It’s meant to feel like the curtain is wrapping around the audience,” she explained—an immersive touch designed to draw fans deeper into the live experience.
With a capacity of 340, the Duck Room has long offered a unique live music environment in St. Louis. Previously booked exclusively through Consort Productions, the venue is now welcoming a wider range of independent promoters. This strategic shift aims to bring greater musical diversity to the space and support the rebuilding of the city’s post-pandemic music scene.
