Garden Variety Deli has officially opened its doors just south of Tower Grove Park in the Tower Grove South neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Located at 3131 Morgan Ford Road, the deli brings a garden-fresh, seasonal approach to classic sandwiches and salads.

Founded by Travis Howard and Jack McGinn, the deli emphasizes the use of locally grown ingredients, many of which come directly from McGinn’s own half-acre garden. Other staples are sourced from nearby producers, including Buttonwood Farms, underscoring the deli’s commitment to farm-to-table practices.

The menu highlights house-baked sourdough focaccia sandwiches with options like turkey, roast beef, BLT, veggie, and tomato. Guests can also enjoy salads including a Caesar, a rotating seasonal special, and a grain bowl.

Operating Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Garden Variety Deli is already drawing praise for its fresh flavors, good value, and signature chocolate chip cookies. Customers appreciate the deli’s thoughtful connection between the food on the plate and the garden it came from.
